Leaside Holiday House Tour 2015 (Part 1)

Who loves decorating for the holidays?  In our house, we'll hold off on decorating for Hanukkah and Christmas until after we celebrate Rudy's birthday, but I'm already itching to get started!

I know that I start to get excited for the holidays when the LCBO comes out with their holiday magazine filled with photos of happy people chatting around elegant fireplaces with fur throws draped everywhere and spiced ciders garnished with blood orange slices and cinnamon sticks in hand.

This month, a good friend and colleague of mine has organized a Holiday House Tour in Leaside, which is one of Toronto's loveliest neighbourhoods.  Six beautiful houses have been selected to be decked out for the holidays and staged by professional designers and guests are allowed to tour them.  I'm imagining it will be like walking through the pages of House and Home's Christmas edition!

This is all happening on November 28th, 2015 and I invite you to join me for a fun day in support of an excellent cause.  Tickets are $30 each and proceeds will support one of my favourite charities, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.  I'm taking my mom and we'll be starting the day early with coffee and muffins at the William Lea Room where we'll enjoy a seminar by television host and designer, Evelyn Eshun on decorating your home for the holidays.  We'll check out the items offered in the silent auction and maybe bid on something and then we'll enjoy visiting the open houses and take breaks for lunch or to grab a hot chocolate.

Check out Bleu Venue's website for more details and to purchase tickets.  Here's the link.
